At 6:00pm, the Young Professionals Network and the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce present a performance by Rano Winds, a mini-concert played by some of the most talented chamber musicians from across the globe. Every year, the University of Notre Dame hosts the Fischoff Competition, which is the largest chamber music competition in the world. Chamber music is a form of classical music that is composed for a small group of instruments. Rano Winds is comprised of master and doctoral students from across the U.S. and Israel. They are consummate musicians praised for their “boundless energy” and “rhythmic vitality.” In addition to standard arrangements, they also have some fun arrangements of Beatles tunes, Disney songs and most recently “Cantina Band” from Star Wars.
