South Bend, August /PR/ -- International opera singer, tenor Emanuel-Cristian Caraman will sing a program entitled "Bel Canto" at two venues in South Bend before his European tour early this fall. The first performance will be held at the LangLab – Saturday August 28 – 8:00 p.m. and the second will take place at Kern Road Mennonite Church, Sunday September 12 at 3:00 p.m. local time. LangLab is located at 1302 High Street South Bend; Kern Road Mennonite Church address is18211 Kern Road, South Bend. Mr. Caraman will perform alongside Wishart Bell, conductor and artistic director of Vesper Chorale and Orchestra. Caraman's repertoire will include songs and arias by Rossini, Bellini, Tosti, Donizetti, Respighi, Verdi and Bernstein. "I'm honored to be performing in South Bend, reaching audiences with the beautiful music of Bellini, Rossini or Respighi, especially when accompanied by maestro Wishart Bell," said Caraman. Mr. Caraman returns to Indiana after what critics called a "top notch" performance at the George Enescu International Music Festival, where he performed the tenor solo in Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor alongside celebrated soprano Natalie Dessay and under the baton of Louis Langree. This fall, Caraman will perform L’elisir d’amore, La Boheme and Verdi’s Requiem in Europe. He will return to South Bend late November to perform Ariel Ramirez’ Misa Criola with Vesper Choral and Orchestra.
