Recently featured on Jack White's newest album, "Lazaretto", Nashville based harpist and songwriter Timbre has been enchanting audiences throughout the US and Europe in growing numbers over the last few years with her unique brand of harp-fronted chamber-folk. Her career has caught the attention of the music world, and has led to her recording and collaborating with rock legends Jack White, Tom Jones, Ricky Skaggs, and rock bands such as mewithoutYou, O'Brother, Brooke Waggoner, and The Chariot. The pairing of Timbre's classically trained voice and harp skills with the dynamic sounds of a talented backing band have entranced crowd after crowd, often bringing complete stillness to crowded bars and festivals, silencing audiences of thousands. Whether performing with her regular tour set up of harp, drums, and cello, or with a more classical lineup of strings, brass, and even a 20 voice choir, Timbre creates lush soundscapes that pull in listeners of every background. Sometimes haunting, sometimes driving, sometimes unabashedly joyful, Timbre is a musical experience that is completely unique and compelling, reminding listeners that music can move us like nothing else can.

With her newest double-disc album, Sun & Moon, Timbre paints vividly with the light, the joy, the passion of modern music, and the darkness, depth, and richness of classical music, and shows that together, they can communicate beauty in greater depths than either can alone. Like the two characters of the story, Timbre seeks to draw listeners into both worlds, learning and experiencing the beauty of both, hearing their unique languages, until a new dialect is formed.

Locals Von Strantz will open!

Von Strantz writes music "created for real depth and real community . . . what's important is that we be humans and love each other." The sound of Von Strantz is described simply as folk n' roll, akin to the tradition of Over the Rhine and the sacredness of The Vespers; the instrumentals stir the soul much like Mumford and Sons. Utilizing a variety of instruments such as the mandolin, violin, bass, and cello, Von Strantz unites harmonies strung together by commanding and soulful lyrics. With story-sharing as their passion, Von Strantz invites their audience into the emotion of each piece. Von Strantz is storytellers, an ebb and flow of two different musicians, exploring the dark and emerging with hope. Von Strantz released their first self-titled EP in early 2013, and has also released "Narratives Chapter I: Troubled Souls" March of 2014 & "Narratives Chapter II: The Line" August of 2014. The band has traveled extensively, booking more than 400 shows since January 2014, including Electric Forest, Hard Rock Cafe, Schuba's, Paper City Music Fest, Audiofeed, Starry Night 2013 & 2014 ,Steel Bridge Music Fest 2013 & 2014, and has shared the stage with some of their favorite artists, My Brightest Diamond, Josh Garrels, Crystal Bowersox, Over The Rhine, Howie Day & A Silent Film.
