Freddy & Francine is the result of a multitude of late-night writing sessions between Lee Ferris (Freddy) and Bianca Caruso (Francine) . Drawing from influences like Ray LaMontagne, The Swell Season, Ryan Adams and The Rolling Stones, No Depression describes them as "Americana Soul, complete with tight two-part harmonies, engaging songs that will shoot deep into your heart, and a musical chemistry that is second-to-none..."

Between 2008 and 2010, Freddy & Francine became favorites on the Los Angeles live circuit, building a word-of-mouth following and drawing over 100 fans to regular gigs at venues that include Hotel Café, Vermont Restaurant, McCabe’s and the Cinema Bar. Additionally, a feature of their song "Brownstone Alley" as TOP TUNE on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic helped to bolster the group’s iTunes sales for their self titled EP and their first album, "The Briar Patch."

A three year hiatus saw Lee Ferris touring the globe as Carl Perkins with Broadway's "Million Dollar Quartet" while Bianca Caruso co-created and starred in a successful live musical comedy called "Zabruso" which has cultivated a strong Los Angeles cult following and has taken her to the stages of the The Montreal Comedy Festival. In their first few months back together, Freddy & Francine have already sold out a handful of shows in and around L.A., they won the 2014 Koffeehouse Music Singer Songwriter's Competition, they were selected as regional finalists in the NewSong Music competition, they've toured the Northeast, the Southwest, and the West Coast, and they kicked off 2015 with a successful three week residency at L.A.'s famed Hotel Cafe
